hand job, music and graffiti
here's a few books i've been looking at recently for inspiration, they are well worth checking out. hand job is a great book on hand drawn type put together by michael pervy, with some really creative examples of typography. supersonic is a collection of cover art in modern music, and street sketchbook is a collection of mainly graffiti work by a range of artists. This was put together by tristan manco, and his website is really worth looking at www.tristanmanco.com

super sledgehammer
this was the initial name that Shaun and myself came up with for our design partnership, however in hindsight, while sounding fun, it was not an appropriate name so we dropped it. the name was originally suggested by Shaun after playing Fallout 3, it being a reference to a weapon from the game. below i've included a design concept for the branding of this name for ourselves, with the main influence being the artwork produced for the game LittleBigPlanet.

fun and games with type
these are some initial concepts for a hand drawn font, they are for the header of my brothers web comic (his page is www.drawedbymoi.blogspot.com). i'll put an update when the comic is online for you to take a look at, it will be well worth it. anyway, here are some of the ideas so far, enjoy.

competition work
these are some designs that i produced for the music artist Basia Bulat, the design work had to reflect the lyrical content of the music so my ideas are based on a range of those themes. i really enjoyed working on this project because it allowed me to try out various styles. this project was for a competition set by Ffres.
this was the final design that i chose for entry in the competition, i tried to achieve a vintage look and the objects are taken from the lyrics of the music.
good habits
here's some more work from one of my old projects, it involved designing a cd package and logo for a band. the package was a cardboard digipak. hope you enjoy taking a look, im trying to get into a good habit of updating this regularly, thanks.
im new to this
hey, thanks for taking the time to check out my work, i'm new to blogging so be gentle. i don't really know where to start so i've just included some of my work from an old project for Ty Nant water. The brief was a competition set by Ty Nant and required entrants to create a series of 4 posters and a new bottle design. my entry ended up winning the competition and i am very proud of my work for it. anyway, take a look and enjoy, i'll be putting loads more work up regularly, i can see myself getting addicted to this.
